I'm an interdisciplinary designer currently based in Munich/ Germany.
After graduating with a BA in Interior Architecture I have been working for a small architectural studio in Munich for 3,5 years.
With the desire to learn more about furniture design and scandinavian culture I moved to Stockholm/ Sweden where I took an MFA in Spatial Design from Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design.
I dedicated the two years of my studies to research and practice in material innovation and experimental manufacturing processes, crossing the lines between interior architecture, industrial design and arts.
My artistic work in general is driven by questions evolving around environmental issues and the urge to explore sustainable alternatives to existing norms.
Possibly rooting in being the granddaughter of a cabinetmaker, I have a great passion for traditional craftsmanship (especially woodwork) and a hands-on practice that involves interdisciplinary co-creators.
For many different reasons my education has led me to the field of retail design and so I have spent most of my work years developing interiors and furniture for different internationally operating store chains, such as the swedish fashion brand Monki or the german drugstore chain dm-drogerie markt.
The specific field of retail design offers a broad range of design work: from graphics and print design to products and furniture to interior concepts and façades.
The variety of assignments is what makes it so exciting to me. It also requires a certain sensitivity and deep understanding of the brand and its clients as well as for the fast changing trends of our time.
As I have gained a lot of experience around retail design and brand development, I am now working as a freelance designer creating not only interiors and furniture but also corporate identities (CI design) from logo design to business cards, labels, flyers, posters, websites etc.
I am open to any job opportunities (must be able to work remotely though), art projects or collaborations!
I am always looking for inspiring and fun collaborations, especially within some creative network that has an interest in experimental and sustainable design.
Ever since I have digged into working with plastic recycling I am super keen on digging deeper! Wanna tinker together? Get in touch!
